book program
What If Every Kid Read the Same book? Players from the participating World Series team take part in a reading program with local elementary school children each year at the Series. It provides great interaction between the athletes and students and helps promote reading as well as the NAIA’s Champions of Character Program. This year’s schedule is as follows: Lewis-Clark State – Orchards Elementary, Tuesday, May 23, 11:45 a.m.-12:25 p.m.; Centennial Elementary, Wednesday, May 24, 11:15 a.m..-1 p.m. All remaining visits are on Thursday, May 25 Bellevue, Asotin Elementary, 11:30-1 p.m. Concordia, Camelot Elementary, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Embry Riddle, Heights Elementary, 10-11:15 a.m.; Highland Elementary, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. St. Xavier, McSorley Elementary, 1:30 a.m.-noon. Lubbock Christian, St. Stanislaus, 10-11 a.m.; Whitman Elementary, 11:15-12:30 p.m. Cumberland, Webster Elementary, noon-1:30 p.m. Seton Hill, Lapwai Elementary, 11-12:30 p.m. Auburn-Montgomery, Holy Family, 10:45-11:30 a.m.; Parkway Elementary, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. British Columbia, McGhee Elementary, 10:30 a.m.-noon. |
